The Espanyol/Parakeets
The club was originally named Espanola de Football was founded by a student from the University de Barcelona on October 28, 1900.

In 1906 the club had been frozen by financial reasons, but in 1909 the club was re-activated with a new name Deportivo Espanol.

Deportivo Espanol is one of the clubs who get protection from the Spanish king Alfonso XIII, thus entitled to a royal title and changed its name to Real Club Deportivo Espanol. But since the resignation of King Alfonso XIII in 1931, the club changed its name to Esportiu Espanol. And in February 1995, renamed Esportiu Espanol Espanol Deportiu Reial Club de Barcelona.

The club has ever defended the famous goalkeeper Thomas N'Kono from Cameroon, have pride T-shirt costumes of blue and white stripes as a tribute to Admiral Roger de Lluria, the hero of the nation's Navy Catalonia.
