Since its founding in 1911 with the name of Brescia Football Club, they joined the division Terza categoria in the same year. In 1913 Brescia for the first promotion to Division One and from 1929 they were playing in Serie A for six of the seven subsequent seasons.

Brescia had been a champion of Anglo-Italian Cup in 1994, which became their biggest achievement in the history. However, the new Brescia gait magnitude seen in 2000, when the club managed to bring the FIFA World Player of the Year Roberto Baggio, who brought Brescia surprisingly finished in seventh place in Serie A 2000/2001 season. It became their best results in Serie A.
With the result that they qualified for the Intertoto Cup. Brescia managed to reach the Intertoto Cup finals but eventually lost to Paris Saint-Germain because of away goals rule.
