The West Ham United/the HammersThe club at its inception called Thames Ironworks FC was founded in 1895 by Arnold Hill and Dave Taylor company director Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Co.. Ltd.

A year after its inception, namely in 1896, The Iron, the club is nicknamed follow the London League and became champions in 1897/1898 season.
